Ukraine, 05.04.2022 - Since nearby a month our team is serving in Ukraine involved in medical evacuations. Beside evacuations, SFI cares for Ukrainian refugees and support Ukrainian hospitals with medical supply.

Ukraine, 06.03.2022 – The images of people fleeing Ukraine are currently stirring emotions. An emergency medical team from SFI and ERA is making final preparations for an on-site deployment. They will provide emergency humanitarian and medical aid and get an idea of how we can help sustainably in the coming weeks. The missions require, among other things, medical equipment and aids such as ventilators, monitors and defibrillators, as well as medication and bandages.

We urgently need financial support for this relief effort. Many thanks for your solidarity!

Tirana, 31.01.2020 - On Friday, January 31, 2020, the Mayor of Tirana, together with the Swiss Ambassador, honored ERA Team at the Training Center in Peza for their efforts during the earthquake.

"I am proud of you, I am grateful to you! Your example is worthy of imitation," said the mayor, Erion Veliaj. "You were among the professional rescue workers who provided immediate and efficient help. And this with great dedication.... I have great appreciation for your commitment and the good work tha  SFI and ERA are doing in Albania," added the Swiss Ambassador, Adrian Maitre.

Tirana, 01.12.2019 - On 26.11.2019, Albania was hit by a strong earthquake. 51 deaths and 913 injured is the sad outcome. 47 people were rescued from the wreckage. ERA (Emergency Response Albania) was involved in this rescue operation. 3 rescue teams were in action day and night. After the search and rescue operation, SFI brought help to the homeless people, providing medical and psycho-social care to the affected people. In addition, SFI supported the homeless with tents, hygiene articles, cooking utensils, blankets and clothes.

Tirana, 7.11.2017 – Der Schweizer Botschafter, Christoph Graf und die Vizeministerin des albanischen Gesundheitsministeriums, bei der Einweihung der Erweiterung des SFI Ausbildungszentrums für Rettungskräfte.

“In diesem Zentrum fühle ich mich wie in der Schweiz. Einige der besten Schweizer Werte wie - hohe Qualität, Präzision und Innovation - sind klar ersichtlich  in der Tätigkeit dieses Zentrums und der Stiftung”, sagte der Schweizer Botschafter Christoph Graf.

Tirana, 22.08.2017 – Der Bürgermeister von Tirana, Erion Veliaj besucht die Rettungswache von ERA (Emergency Response Albania), eine Initiative von SFI.

“Zum ersten Mal haben wir hier ein anderes Modell Dinge anzugehen: Wo nicht mit dem Finger auf das gezeigt wird was nicht funktioniert oder der Staat beschimpft wird, ...sondern sehen einen Ansatz wo jemand sagt: ich leiste einen Beitrag und schaffe ein Modell, welches mit den staatlichen Strukturen zusammenarbeitet”, so der Bürgermeister, Erion Veliaj.

Tirana, 17.02.2016 – Der Schweizer Botschafter, Christoph Graf und der Generaldirektor der albanischen Polizei, Haki Çako, besuchen Emergency Response Albania (ERA) in Tirana.

«Dieses Zentrum ist ein Vorbild für die Rettungsmedizin des Landes. Es ist eine private Initiative und ein hervorragendes Beispiel für Schweizer Qualitätsstandards», sagte Botschafter Graf.

Peza, 1.11.2014 – Der Schweizer Botschafter in Tirana, Christoph Graf und seine Frau, besuchen das rettungsmedizinische Ausbildungszentrum von SFI in Peza.

Herr Graf ist "...beeindruckt vom Engagement der jungen albanischen Kursteilnehmer und der Professionalität des Kurses".

Spille, 24.07.2014 – Der albanische Gesundheitsminister, Ilir Beqaj, sowie Botschafter und Vertreter von sieben ausländischen diplomatischen Vertretungen besuchen die medizinische Einrichtung von SFI und die Notfallstation von "Emergency Response Albania (ERA)" in Spille, Albanien.

Das "Spille Modell" gilt gemäss Gesundheitsminister als Vorbild für die Reform des Gesundheitswesen im Bereich der medizinischen Grundversorgung auf nationaler Ebene. PDF "The Spille Model"
